Private sessions are a wonderful investment for any beginner student.  In a private lesson, you will work one on one with your instructor to design a practice that meets your specific goals and interests.  Lessons might include:

• Basics of yoga breathing (pranayama)
• Physical exercises (asana)
• Meditation
• Yogic relaxation techniques

In a private lesson, you have the convenience of scheduling yoga whenever it works for you.  You will be given our complete attention and we can modify poses according to your unique abilities.  In addition, we can focus on the areas of yoga that you are most interested in.

Each private session can be shared by up to two adults for the same hourly rate.  For groups of three or more, please call Sharon to discuss small group private rates and scheduling.  We would be delighted to work with your group.

Sharon Rudyk

Sharon Rudyk is registered with Yoga Alliance at the experienced level as an E-RYT and as a R-PYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher).  She holds Masters Degrees in East Asian Studies/Chinese from the University of Pennsylvania and in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh.  Sessions with Sharon are infused with techniques from the secular healing yoga and meditation traditions informed by Buddhism.  She specializes in stress reduction, fertility, childbirth recovery and working with older adults.  You can schedule an appointment with Sharon by calling her at (412) 855-5692.  Send an e-mail to Sharon at: sharon@yogamatrika.com.

Studio Payments and Phone Scheduling

You can pay for your session at the studio with exact cash or personal check.  If you have not paid online, you must schedule your appointment by calling Sharon (412) 855-5692.  If you want to pay for your sessions with a credit card, you must do this online before your session.

Appointment Cancellations

Kindly cancel your appointment within 24-hours.  The first time you cancel with less notice there is no penalty.  The second time and moving forward you will be charged in full for the appointment.
