PROGRESSIVE ASHTANGA

Call it power yoga or cardio yoga, ashtanga yoga is challenging.  Dynamic and vigorous, this grand-daddy of vinyasa flow is a great way to take your basic yoga practice to a different level.  Learn the basics of this style such as breath-work, gazing and jumps in a step-wise, 3-week progressive series.

INTRODUCTION to YOGA

This series is a comprehensive introduction to all things yoga with the joyful, energetic and in every way delightful, Anna Gilbert.  It is perfect for adults new to yoga or if it’s just been a long time since your last yoga class.  Some students choose to take these series after having a baby or after other major life transitions so they can explore ways to do yoga in their “new bodies.”  We welcome EVERYONE!  You will be introduced to different ways to breathe, move and stretch in addition to a full curriculum of yoga philosophy, the use of yoga props and ways to make a regular yoga practice a part of your life.

IYENGAR YOGA for BEGINNERS

Start your journey into the world of yoga with Iyengar Yoga.  Learn how to use blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters to find precise, proper alignment in fundamental yoga poses.  Each class in the series will build on the one before it, focusing on standing poses, forward bends, backward bends and twists.  By the end of the series you will have a basic understanding of yoga from the bones of your feet to the tip of your nose.
