Beautiful post Sharon. There is a book of Meditations for Children called
"Moonbeam" by Maureen Garth.
Thich Nhat Hanh also has a lovely book for kids (a little older) called
"A Pebble for your Pocket".

I am forever making this kind of mistake here in Pittsburgh! As a non-driver, I consider the City of Pittsburgh to, quite literally, mean the CITY of Pittsburgh----but there ARE other places in the greater Pittsburgh region that offer weekly meditation classes. Wendy Mackin has informed me that the Himalayan Institute in Mt. Lebanon has two 25-minute meditation classes a week and that they are FREE. They are on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 am to 9:55am and here is a link to the Himalayan website so you can check these and other great classes out: http://kateandkids.wordpress.com/class-schedule/
