There are two ways to take the teacher training program.
SADHANA: literally meaning ’straight to the goal’ this path is for adults who are already yoga instructors or who know that they want to take a teacher training program for the specific purpose of becoming yoga instructors. When you register for the full training program, you make a commitment to complete the entire training. The entire training includes all four units taken in order in one 9-month training cycle.
ATVARA: literally meaning ‘freedom from haste’ this path is for adults who would like to deeply study yoga tradition, asana, pranayama, philosophy and ethics, but are not quite sure that they want to be teachers or know that they are not interested in teaching. Or, for instructors who already have 200-hr. training, but feel that their training may have lacked strength in a particular area or if there is something that they would like to explore further, this is a perfect way to design your own path. Finally, this is a great option for adults who have family and career responsibilities that may obstruct a straight path. Take the units that you can, as you can take them. We do not put any time limits on this path. Please note that we also do not make any guarantees that any particular unit will be offered in any given year.
The next Sadhana Path begins on October 1, 2010 and the program will end on May 22, 2011. The program costs $1,875 if you register and pay in full before September 1, 2010. There is also a flexible payment plan available with a $500 deposit and three additional $500 payments over the length of the program. If you need a different payment plan, please make the initial $500 deposit to save your space and indicate your commitment and we are happy to make alternative payment arrangements.
The next Atvara Path also begins on October 1, 2010 with the first course of the training Foundations of Practice.
Please review the information that is available on the registration page and call Sharon if you have any questions at this time or you want to make an appointment to speak with both Sharon and Jill. We’d be delighted to meet you and make sure that this program is the best way to reach your personal and professional goals. Sharon can be reached by business/cell phone at (412) 855-5692.
