Liberation

In this moment, let us take a breath and contemplate the darkness that surrounds us.  On the exhale, consider all the thousands of years of human history that brings us holidays that honor the light.  Regardless of the name you give your celebrations this year, please make sure that you take time to honor the light.  The primary light is the light that you yourself uniquely offer the world.  If this is not a season of joy for you, then take refuge in the fact that the darkest day of the year is almost upon us, but after the 21st it just keeps getting lighter and lighter.  Allow yourself to liberate space with this knowing—–not only will it get better, but it will keep on getting better and better and lighter and lighter.

In this season, give yourself space to be liberated.  And, if that fails, it is also the season of cookies and fried food.  Enjoy!
